What Is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2016?

Color of the Year. Aren’t pale pink and light blue sort of…well…nursery colors? Is there an unusually high number of women expecting children to be born in 2016? What made Pantone choose these particular hues to comprise 2016’s color of the year? Pantone said that the choice is symbolic, “a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.” The color choice was made after Pantone surveyed a healthy amount of pop culture and fashion, reports Leopold.
